Robotics 24-25

The Bayport-Blue Point School district is home to three teams that compete in FIRST Robotics. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization that offers various levels of programs for students ages 4-18, ranging from a basic introduction to engineering to advanced robot design and problem solving real world issues. James Wilson Young Middle School has two teams, the RoboPhantoms #9556 and BRAINSTORMERS #1087 that compete in FIRST Lego League Challenge. These highly successful teams have competed against the best

programs in the world and have inspired students to become involved in their community and to pursue STEM programs as they continue their academic journey. The Bayport-Blue Point High School offers FIRST Tech Challenge, a program in which students program and build a remote controlled robot that is used in a collaborative competition with teams from throughout the Long Island region. The teams in the FIRST program are hoping to raise funds that can be used to support our program and to give back to those in need. Since the inception of the FIRST program in Bayport-Blue Point, our teams have donated thousands of dollars of goods and gifts to those in need and community support we look to continue our positive impact. Please consider donating to our cause.
